Independent solar PV advisory
Principal-led owner-side solar PV advisory across close-out, performance accountability and transition.
Independent support for funds, asset owners and operating platforms across utility-scale and C&I solar, including selected solar-plus-storage situations at commissioning, handover and transition into operations.
Most mandates arise where a project, portfolio or transaction has moved beyond routine management, particularly around acceptance, handover, underperformance, contractor accountability or transition risk.
Experience across close-out, operations, governance and transactions, with direct owner-side engagement alongside EPCs, O&M providers and other advisers.
Services
Most mandates centre on close-out, performance accountability, onboarding and transition risk.
Close-out, acceptance and handover
For assets approaching or past PAC/FAC where acceptance quality, defect exposure, evidence packs or contractual obligations remain unresolved.
Typical outputs: acceptance review memo, close-out tracker, PAC/FAC recommendation.
Performance, defects and accountability
For underperforming assets or portfolios where losses sit across EPC, O&M, design and operations and the owner needs a clear accountability position.
Typical outputs: diagnostic note, accountability map, recovery roadmap, decision memo.
Transactions, onboarding and transition risk
For acquisitions, refinancings, onboarding or portfolio transfers where delivery status, operational readiness or residual risk need clearer assessment.
Typical outputs: diligence memorandum, risk matrix, board or Investment Committee paper, pre-close priority plan.
Selective interim owner-side support
For owners or platforms needing senior owner-side support in stressed transitions or delivery situations where existing management is not resolving the issue.
Typical outputs: priority plan, decision memo and governance plan.
Additional support can include targeted governance, reporting and oversight where relevant to a specific mandate.
How I work
Rapid diagnosis, clear owner-side position, practical follow-through.
01
Diagnose
Rapid review of data, contracts and site evidence to identify where accountability sits and what the priority actions are.
02
Advise
Owner-side view on risk, accountability, options and recommended course of action, written for boards, investment committees and senior decision-makers.
03
Resolve
Direct engagement with owners, EPCs, O&M providers and other advisers until the position is clear and the path forward is agreed.
Engagements can be structured as fixed-scope, time-and-materials, advisory retainer, or selective interim mandates.
